Hi! I left in 1999, so i was six at the time, to go to a school in Saffron Walden. I highly doubt anybody would remember me, but I currently live in Switzerland, having lived in Sweden before hand. Sadly I can't remember any of the students surnames that were at the school at the time I was there, but there are some teachers, who's names I still remember. I am currently in Gr11, and can't wait to move back to England in two years. Hope those of you at the school are having fun!

omg i got so emotional reading those comments i only went to this school for 2 yrs but i loved every minuter of it!!! yr 8 now :O unluckily i still have chalky coz hes my head of house - just when i thought i had got rid of him!!! (and i now have him for maths!!!) those of you who dont got to gd old hedingham wont have a clue wat im on about but basicly chalky (mr johnston) is the strictest on uniform on the school and a bit scary! Anyway hedingham is still the best i love it so much and cant wait to go to GERMANY!!! in december its gonna be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gd anyway enough of me - i have the coolest friends ever they r the best!!! xxx

ha! today right we was waiting for the bus right that the ice cream man was there! it was like well good. then right i got clarice to come with me and get one! :) we still got on the bus LOL! then emily had this blue ice cream and her houth and teeth went blue :L

This site takes me back a long 10 years, and it surprises me just how much has changed in that time!

I am now at The University of York studying Chemistry for 4 years, Science was always my strong point!

Hi its sam i miss the school so much but now im in year 8 say hi to mr white 4 me

oh yeah another thing, because i realy dont want to go to school today, ive been p since 6;00 and keep refreshing the bbc essex website to make sure hedingham stays on the school closures list, 6:45 am, its still on there!, also at hedingham, me plus 24 other students took part in a world maths test, there were 2 75min tests, one on computer and one on paper, i got into the top 5% percent of the world, and came top at our school. :) 6:47 am, still on there, im not convinced, this is going to well for me. oh yeah, me and my dad built a snowman, it then fell over, i fixed it but lost its eyes, and mouth, now its half the height:) UPDATE ON BBC!!!!! 6:50am, STILL ON THERE COME ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! another update, 6:56 its......STILL ON THERE, TIME TO HAVE BREAKFAST!

Well, I though I'd just write a message to all those who are involved with Stanley Drapkin Primary as I've been missing you so much! All the laughs and disasters and tears were rounded off by a rewarding Mr White to lead us to our next step in life! Me and Rebecca Crooks always have tears in our eyes when ever we discuss the last day of school - running to the back of the field when Mr White blew the last EVER whistle for hometime. :( Newport Free Grammar School is good and exciting. I'm enjoying SWCHS so much more now, but I keep getting non-stop coursework and I wish that I could just go back to Primary School and enjoy it so much more because life isn't the same in Secondary School and I doubt it will ever be as fun as it was again.

Hi everyone. We're now year 10 at Hedingham school and we now have started are GCSE sujects. We miss Primary SO MUCH, and if we had to choose our favourite teacher it would have to be Mr White :) We both would love to get in touch with Bryony Ward so if you have any adresses please can you contact us.

Hedingham is GREAT! You get so much more freedom than you do at primary school. Don't be worried no one will flush your head down the loo like most romours say. Its quite a change at first as you have a different teachers for every subject unlike primary where you have only one teacher for all subjects. Also you get to experience other subjects that you don't get to do at primary, e.g. Drama, languages and many more once you get to year 10.

I think we have said enough about Hedingham school now!

MAKE SURE YOU ENJOY YEAR 6 IT'S THE BEST YEAR OF PRIMARY SCHOOL!!!!!

Hey miss how are you? i'm getting on at Hedingham ok-ish
i have just came out of a bad 4 months at school because of a case of bullying but its all getting patched up now.
I'm getting better at a lot of things at school as well!
i still love my drama and singing and dancing and i'm with a new theater group called Theater Train and its really good i have been there since march and have all ready done a show with them, and in september i will be going to London to the Roal Albort Hall with them to do a perfurmance!
The other day i was going through a folder on my computer of pictures and i found one that was the "SB year 6 play" and there was pictures of that play it was so nice seeing them and also i was going through a box in my room and i found my script i started singing to the songs! i couldn't remember all of them but most!

I have desided to leave school at year 11 and go to a performing arts collage

I cant believe it has been so long scine i was at this shool!
i really miss everyone :(
i think there should be a reuneun for all the year sixis that have all ready have left! because then we could all meet up and talk face to face! well thats my idea!

i hope everyone is fine, i still cant get over that this time next year i would have chosen my choises and would have done my year 9 SATs! lol how sad am i but i have all ready looked at some collages! you see i want to go to a performing arts one! so you never no you might be seeing me on the TV in... hold on... in about 5 years time lol (im going to leave in year 11 and i no mum wants me to carry on but its my futer!)

hey, so far i have had 1 detion, it was maths....for sneezing......how weird.....................dots.......................oh and tottenhamhotspr in carling cup final. hope we win, chelsea going down.... and i agree with jimi, it was unfair on sports day, we have all fast runners in 100m and 200, also was that really tony blair or soeone pretending to be tony blar. oh and 1 more thing, i have had a terrible start to the year. (but missed like 10 days of school :) ), because first i caught a ear infection that lasted about a week, then week after that i got soething thats called a migrain or soemthing like that, and it kept aking me be sick so i didnt go 2 school for bout 3 days.. then a week after that, i slipped over and almost broke my arm so i went home and didnt go to school for two days, and now i got a cooled, i realy do hope i get better, also i might start coing with james price after school on wednesday to see all the teachers again, hope to see you soon, thomas huckle, p.s my m isnt workning that well

My family and I spent our Christmas at our house and had a delicious Christmas dinner - let's just say, I prefer carrots to brussel sprouts! If you are in Year 6, I wish you the best of luck when you do your SATs in a few months and then move on to Secondary School in September. I have a very busy year ahead of me and I'm sure you do too! This website is awesome-attended sbps in the mid-late 1960's,now living in the U.S.A. Used to walk between the old school and the older school, across the village. Miss Best was our teacher I think, and Mr Gorman was headmaster, Mr. Edwards before that I think!! Does any one remember???

It's cool to be in year 5! I can't wait till the school trip! I really like this school!

Goodness it's been a loooong time since I was at SBPS (as it used to be called). It must be 21 years or more. I'm amazed Mr. Ratcliffe is still there- I think I gave him a few gray hairs in my time for which I apologise!
I think I can remember Mr. Drapkin running a wonderful shop (with an impossibly large array of penny sweets) opposite the old school- now a pottery I believe? I recall him being a very friendly and well presented gentleman, and a constant benefactor of the school. It's great that my old primary has adopted his name.
Anyway hello to anyone who can remember me and I look forward to returning one day for a nosey around- and to whiten the rest of Mr. Ratcliffe's beard!

Hi its Bethany ex pupil of SB! -We every one that gose to Hedingham that went to Sb we all call it that now so we don't get to up set- im loveing Hedingham but i loved SB more! im missing all the teachers and friends. I want to come back but i no i will never come back. Time to time i still cry about how many lost soils are in limbo still. I loved it when i went back to the school to see what it is now, but its not the same - i know i had a friend there that went to the school but it wasnt the same there wernt the jokers and the quite people and the drama queens well there was one! lol - i realy wasnt to come back, i realy miss every one!

I was at the old school in the late fifties. Does anyone have any photos or information about that school. Mr Fuller was the headmaster for most of my time there but was replaced by a Mr Evans (I think. I'm fairly sure he was Welsh) during my last year there before going to Haverhill Secondary Modern.

I am not a former student, just a great fan of Steeple Bumpstead. I wish I could come to England to live. I visited Steeple in 1966. I'm Canadian. My mother and I lived with my mother's friends, Jack and Dorothy Richards. Does anyone remember them? They eventually left Steeple and came back to Canada where they both passed on, which was roughly around 1985. Thanks so much for your help!

Hello this is a cooooooool website but no pictures!!!!!!!

I don't imagine anyone will remember me, apart from maybe Mrs. Kingston, but I was a pupil here many years ago. I'm about to study Physics at Oxford University (joining my sister there) and I think my primary school undoubtedly helped shape my development.
While I'm here I'll wish good luck to the people I remember from my year, notably Tom Lawfield, Richard Slade and Joe Rush. Contact me!

Wow, I left in july 1998 and it is great to hear that things are going so well. I miss the school a great deal, and I would love to come back and see you all soon.
It's really sad that I only have 1 brother left at Steeple Bumpstead and when he leaves in a year I won't have any connections with you all anymore!

Good luck to all of you moving on to high school, it may seem scary but it is great really. I am in year 13 now, and the next year in year 13 is gonna be so exiting. Then i'm off to university, scary stuff.

Having just read the latest newsletter I was sad to hear of the departure of so many great teachers; all of whom have been a fantastic asset to the school. Mrs Sadler in particular who since her arrival has guided the school from strength to strength. I am sure she will be sadly missed by children and parents alike. What a wonderful website! I have many fond memories of the school and the community, having been a student there in 1956 when my dad was posted at RAF Wethersfield and we lived in Steeple Bumpstead. Thanks to the school, I went back to the States a proper little English gentleman!!! I still cherish the family photos of myself in my school uniform. I would be most happy to hear from anyone...

this website was very good for helping me with my A-level work, and i have enjoyed working with the year 2's every wednesday afternoons. this has also helped me a great deal with my work and i will miss seeing them. thank you, i hope to visit again soon.

What a joy to read the website and guest book. I have had many years of association with the School and have seen it grow and go from strength to strength! My (Year 11) daughter Gemma did very well at the School and had gone on to achieve very well at Hedingham School. I feel the school helped me achieve my GCSE results aswell as it gave me a good start to my school carier. I achieved 6 B's 4 C's and a D in german. I really enjoyed all my time at the school i am now back doing some work with them for my A levels.

I left the school in 1999, and since then it has grown considerably. Only a few of the original staff are left, being Mrs Bell, Mr Ratcliffe and Mrs Sadler who may remember me!I'm now in Year 11 at Hedingham School, and would like to thank all afore mentioned staff for all their hard work. Last academic year, i took GCSE Statistics (1 year early), and got an A, which i daresay was thanks to them! My little sister Apryl Bastian now attends the school, and is also doing well. Steeple Bumpstead Primary was an outstanding school when i attended, but is still improving!

The school is brilliant. Everyone is nice. Everyone enjoys it and most of all I think my teacher Mr Ratcliff is brill!! I love playing all sports including tennis and I am now in the school tennis team. We did really well last term. We came second in the county!

On school Council lately we have been discussing school dinners, we have decided on a boys and girls system, 5sw Girls may go first then 5jc Girls may go next and so on the Girls will go first for a week then it will be the same with the Boys.

I 'm in year five, so far I have really enjoyed Art , Numeracy , literacy and P.E.
The school trips are great, last year I really enjoyed Kentwell Hall, this year I'm looking forward to going to Wembley.

I like the school because it has good facilities.
It also has a friendly environment.
The teachers try to make everything fun.

I have moved on now to Newport Free Grammer School. I enjoyed every bit of Steeple Bumpstead Primary School. I knew Mrs Sadler very well because she started the school at the same time I did plus she is a brilliant netball teacher who lead her team to victory!!!!!!!!!!!!
